I attribute my smooth birth experience to Keianna Young. She gave me the confidence I needed to go into my induction appointment knowing I would be the one making the choices I wanted for my birth. She informed me of what my options would be and explained pros and cons of different induction strategies. Her experience showed through in her conversations and even if we had different opinions she was supportive of my choices. And that made me feel good about my decisions. Her help postpartum was even more important to me as I struggled with breastfeeding. It was important to me for my baby to be exclusively on breast milk if my body would cooperate. At first my baby lost weight and her pediatrician was telling me if she lost anymore I’d have to supplement. Keianna gave me the tools to help me get my milk to my baby and helped me increase my supply. They say exhaustion and stress can negatively impact your milk supply. After Keianna came to my home and worked with me my stress went down and my milk supply increased. Of course she also gave me additional tools to help me increase my supply. But her calming presence helped me to know everything would be ok. I’m so grateful for the experience I had with Emerald Heart and strongly recommend her services to anyone who is looking for support on their birthing and postpartum journey.
